2009 was a year of records for the Belgacom Group

On 25 February 2010, the Board of Directors approved the annual results. In 2009, the Belgacom Group booked a net profit of ¬904 million (¬104 million more than in 2008). The company will pay a normal dividend of EUR 1.68 per share, i.e. EUR 2.08 total annual dividend per share including the interim dividend of EUR 0.4 per share.
Belgacom International Carrier Services and G-Xchange sign agreement for international remittances
Belgacom International Carrier Services (BICS), a leading global provider of voice, data and value added services and G-Xchange (GXI), a fully-owned mobile-commerce subsidiary of Philippines' Globe Telecom, have signed an agreement to expand GXI's existing number of remittance corridors, using BICS' HomeSend Remittance Hub.
Belgacom launches a completely revamped Internet offer
As from the 1st of March, Belgacom will carry out major changes in order to meet customer needs even better: a radically updated and future-oriented Internet offer with more speed, more volume and a package without volume limits.

Belgacom TV: new thematic channel packages from EUR5/month
On 1 February new types of subscription adapted to customers needs.
Belgacom has rearranged its thematic channel offering and now offers channel packages for all tastes, starting from EUR5/month. In addition to these channel packages, Belgacom is also offering new subscription packages which combine, in a cost-effective way, the thematic channels and the large catalogue of videos on demand.
Proximus, BASE and Mobistar join forces to help Haiti via 4666
The three mobile operators Proximus, KPN Group Belgium/BASE and Mobistar are mobilizing to raise money for the victims of the natural disaster in Haiti. Customers of these mobile operators can send an SMS worth ¬1 to 4666. All the proceeds of the action will go to the victims.
The Belgacom Group combines its strengths to serve customers better
The extraordinary general shareholders' meeting of 4 January 2010 has approved the integration of the Belgian subsidiaries of the Belgacom Group. They now form a single limited liability company under public law.
