Technogirls: a passion for technology

This initiative aims at introducing girls to the world of engineering, technology and technological studies. Over 25 companies from all Flemish provinces opened their doors to schools and girls wanting to show their passion for technology.
And that passion is growing! 28 girls from Flemish schools visited Belgacom and got to know our products and services and attended a technical workshop. They visited the antenna on top of the Belgacom Towers and got a guided tour in our Innovation Lounge.
Why does Belgacom support this initiative ?
This initiative fits in perfectly with our diversity strategy. To make careers in engineering more attractive to women, we certainly have a role to play, as a large ICT company, in stimulating interest in technology among young girls!
