Record number of recruitments at Belgacom in 2011

This year Belgacom recruited a record number of applicants. It places Belgacom right at the top in Belgium with regard to recruitment. As many as 2,100 people obtained a new job in 2011, both internally (1,200) and externally (900). The company currently has 15,617 employees.

Belgacom invests strongly in training and offers a large number of career development opportunities.  The company strives for efficiency by keeping everything as transparent as possible. It’s not for nothing that the “Simple & Friendly” focus is one of its main strategic pillars.

The large size of the company means that there is a considerable variety of careers in different fields, both for first-jobbers and experienced people. The four main fields in terms of recruitment are: the Belgacom shops spread throughout the country, the various call centers, ICT (Belgacom continues to be the largest ICT employer in Belgium) and the construction and maintenance of the network.

In this way Belgacom aims to absorb natural attrition and support growth in new business areas. That is why it has also set ambitious recruitment objectives for 2012.

There are currently as many as 150 vacancies for external applicants.
