Our mission, our corporate values (Respect, Can Do, Passion), our Corporate Governance Charter, our Code of Conduct ‘The way de do responsible business’ and our compliance office and policies, underpin our approach to business and to corporate social responsibility. These are the foundations to create and sustain a culture of responsible business management.
This culture is also expressed through internal policies, like our Privacy and data protection policy, our Environmental policy, our Diversity and non-discrimination policy and our Human rights principles.
Our CSR commitment is reflected through the codes we have signed with our partners.

ETNO sustainability charter
: Signatories commit to high level environmental protection standards and to regular reporting. The ETNO Sustainability Charter embraces the three pillars of the EU sustainable development strategy: environmental protection, social progress and economic growth.
- Within the framework of the GOF (GSM operator’s forum), associated with KPN and Mobistar, we have signed a Belgian code of conduct for safer mobile use by Younger Teenager and Children . The code foresees that the operators will develop access control mechanism, raise awareness and education, classify commercial content and collaborate with authorities to fight illegal content.
- We developed a Code of Ethical Procurement to promote safe and fair working conditions and to manage environmental and social issues. This code is appended to existing contracts in the form of an addendum for suppliers to sign, as confirmation of their commitment.
- We have signed the European road safety Charter and commit to develop actions to increase safety on the road for Belgacom drivers, but also improve road safety signalisation on our construction sites.
- We are the first company in Belgium to endorse the European Union's codes of conduct regarding energy-efficient data centers, broadband equipment, and digital TV decoders . We hereby commit to improve the energy efficiency of our equipment on a regular basis and report our achievement on a yearly basis.
